Tina Vinson is a functional medicine nurse practitioner who specializes in dermatology. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Crown College and Master of Science in Nursing from the College of St. Scholastica. Her certification as Functional medicine practitioner was received from the Functional Medicine University. Tina’s health professional background is composed of 8 years of combined experience as a nurse and nurse practitioner, and she is currently in a certification program for Holistic Nutrition. She primarily works in dermatology but has performed in urgent care as well. Her particular interest in dermatological needs including acne, rosacea, psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, and skin cancer prevention.
In practice, Tina takes an integrative and holistic approach when working with a patient to help find the root cause of the problem while taking into account their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Motivating and inspiring her patients to make healthy choices is her focus, and she does so through creating a safe space to make sure they feel heard. She prioritizes forming a good relationship with her patients and seeks to empower them in their journey toward better health
In her free time, Tina enjoys running, biking, swimming, hiking, fishing, and paddle boarding. She is always up for a challenge and has competed in marathons, half marathons, triathlons, and an ultramarathon. Her interests include traveling with her husband and being outdoors.
