Dr. Eric Wood, N.D. is a Naturopathic Doctor with 17 years of experience dedicated to helping patients uncover the root causes of their health challenges. Dr. Wood takes a deep, investigative approach to patient care, delving into individual backstories to identify missing pieces that may be keeping them unwell. He meets patients where they are, offering honest and transformative guidance to help them achieve their health goals. While the process requires time and effort, the potential for life-changing outcomes makes the journey worthwhile. Dr. Wood has had a focus on environmental medicine, integrative oncology, gut and hormonal health, and preventative care since 2013.
Dr. Wood began his career as an integrative medicine specialist for Neuroscience and integrative cancer specialist for Life Extension, two leading North American supplement companies. Since then, he has taught at multiple universities, including the American College of Healthcare Sciences in Holistic Nutrition, Everglades University in their Alternative Medicine department, and as a lecturer in Environmental Medicine and Integrative Oncology at the National University of Health Sciences. He also serves as a Functional Medicine professor at John Patrick University. An accomplished author, he has co-authored five books, including The Adrenal Fatigue Solution, The Ultimate Candida Diet, The Complete William Kelley Protocol from Past to Present, Scientific Fat Loss, and Longevity Secrets, and has been published in numerous scientific and health-related publications such as The Sage Encyclopedia for Society and Cancer, Natural Fertility Prescriptions, Ben’s Natural Health, and others.
Dr. Wood is passionate about inspiring individuals and families to take meaningful steps toward better health and lasting change. He specializes in supporting those with complex chronic illnesses, undiagnosed or misdiagnosed “mystery” conditions, and anyone focused on healthy aging and prevention. His work extends beyond the clinic, collaborating with leaders in the supplement and natural health industries across North America and Europe. Dr. Wood serves on medical advisory boards for organizations like IBD Assist Inc., Physician’s Choice, Primal Labs, and Anirva. He has appeared on national networks such as ABC, NBC, and Fox. He was also a featured practitioner in the international healthcare documentary Food, Health, and You.
For Dr. Wood, naturopathic medicine is not only a profession but also a lifestyle deeply rooted in his values and upbringing. He is a Minnesota native and the son of acclaimed author and musician Douglas Wood. Having grown up in a family that valued environmental stewardship, education, and toxin-free living, his childhood shaped his passion for naturopathic medicine, combining traditional healing methods with modern scientific diagnostics. Outside his practice, he enjoys spending time outdoors, engaging in the local arts and music scene, and maintaining an active physical fitness and spiritual health regimen.
