What is CranioSacral Therapy?
CranioSacral Therapy is a manual therapy approach that uses very light touch to impact the connective tissue that surrounds the brain and spinal cord. More optimal nervous system function is facilitated by the improvement of fluid flow within the central nervous system, the release of toxins and other materials that may be negatively impacting the environment within the central nervous system, and the facilitation of improved function of all areas of the brain.
This facilitates improved endocrine function, improved self regulation abilities, and improved readiness for change/growth within the system. CranioSacral Therapy practitioners have specific palpation skills that allow them to tune into the body and address areas of restriction that may be interfering with balance and the body’s natural ability for self healing. This includes providing a safe, non-judgemental space for clients that allows for spontaneous release of emotions or trauma (SomatoEmotional Release) that may be contributing to specific restriction patterns and interfering with the body’s ability to move toward balance and healing.
