Tina Vinson is a functional medicine nurse practitioner with special interest in hormones and gut health. She also has experience in an functional, integrative and holistic approach to dermatological needs including acne, rosacea, and psoriasis. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Crown College and Master of Science in Nursing from the College of St. Scholastica. Her certification in Functional medicine was received from the Functional Medicine University. She also has a certification in Holistic Nutrition from the AFPA. Tina’s health professional background is composed of 11 years of combined experience as a nurse and nurse practitioner. She has worked in dermatology, urgent care, internal medicine, and functional medicine as well as an adjunct professor of pathophysiology and pharmacology. Tina specializes in working with women of all ages, including those in the childbearing years.

In practice, Tina takes an integrative and holistic approach when working with a patient to help find the root cause of the problem, while also taking into account their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Motivating and inspiring her patients to make healthy choices is her focus, and she does so through creating a safe space to make sure they feel heard. She prioritizes forming a good relationship with her patients and seeks to empower them in their journey toward better health. She has had personal experience with hormone difficulties which serves as an inspiration for her to help others get to the root of conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis, period irregularities, PMS, heavy menstrual cycles, uterine fibroids, infertility, and more. She is passionate about the preconception time and preparing for pregnancy.

Outside of nursing, Tina enjoys spending time with her husband and toddler. She has completed nine marathons, over 25 half marathons, triathlons, and an ultramarathon. While being a mom has become her primary focus, she enjoys remaining active and outdoors.
