Michelle Des Lauriers is our Content Specialist. Her education includes a B.A. in print journalism, with additional concentrations in advertising and broadcast journalism, from the University of St. Thomas. She has over 30 years of experience in marketing and advertising, and has won multiple awards in her field. Michelle also has hundreds of hours of education and training in various complementary healing modalities, is a level 1 Reiki and Healing Touch therapist, an advanced Unlimited Body Healing practitioner, earned a certificate in herbal healing, and has extensive knowledge on nutritional supplements and holistic wellness.
Michelle first became interested in functional medicine through her personal healing journey and experience dealing with Lyme Disease and Coinfections/Tick Borne Illnesses. She believes that integrative health is the future of medicine, and through her work, seeks to make this type of care accessible and available to all who need it. Her intention is to use her skills in communications and writing to help people find the path to improved health, and to meet them where they are in their journey to wellness. It has been a gratifying experience for Michelle to see holistic health, which began as a hobby, transform into a vocation that she is able to impact lives with.
In her free time, Michelle enjoys being with family and friends. She loves traveling, boating, especially on Lake Minnetonka, reading and spending time learning about natural healing and holistic wellness.
