What is the NADA Protocol?

The National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) Protocol is a non-diagnostic, non-verbal, clinically effective, affordable approach to healing. It has been used in many different settings around the world: psychiatric/mental health facilities, prisons, disaster relief areas, Native American reservations, addiction centers, cancer care centers, HIV/AIDS care centers, and more. The NADA Protocol increases success of healing when paired with regular counseling, AA meetings, NA meetings, education, and other forms of support.

How Does the NADA Protocol Work?

The NADA Protocol involves placing five sterilized needles in each ear at specific points: shen men, sympathetic, kidney, liver and lung. NADA Protocol is usually done in a group setting and provider(s) will treat each person as they walk in. Participants sit quietly for 30-45 minutes once the needles are in.

What Can NADA Help Treat?

Because it’s non-diagnostic, treatment isn’t based on symptoms, but rather can help with a number of conditions, including, but not limited to:

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Insomnia
  • Poor sleep habits
  • Postpartum depression
  • Addiction
  • Stress
  • Trauma
  • Reduced cravings for alcohol and drugs
  • Minimized withdrawal symptoms
  • Birth preparation
  • Labor
  • Pain
  • Support for caregivers
  • Overall wellness

When is the NADA Protocol Offered?

We offer the NADA Protocol in a group setting every week, alternating Tuesdays and Wednesdays. As these groups fill, additional dates and times will be offered. Each treatment is a suggested donation of $10. 10 visit punch cards are also available for purchase at the door.
