Neurotherapy Technician

Lauryn is our Neurotherapy Technician and a Psychology Student at the University of Minnesota 

She provides care for our patients through Neurotherapy assessments and treatments.

Lauryn is a Research Assistant at the Department of Pediatrics, Center for Magnetic Resonance Imaging at the University of Minnesota, where she performs neuropsychiatric assessments on research participants to determine their neurocognitive function. She also facilitates MRI scans on participants, gathers and presents literature reviews and meta-analysis on current and groundbreaking research in the Neuroscience field. Lauryn was a Preschool Assistant Teacher Minneapolis Int’l Montessori Schools in Minneapolis, where she helped maintain a calm and peaceful classroom environment, took positive, helpful action in assisting the children in their interactions with their friends and school materials. 

She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Elizabeth Residence – Senior Living Facility in Franklin, WI, assisting residents in performing daily care and problem-solving to ensure a great quality of life and maximize independence.

She also spent time as an After School Program Assistant at Country Dale Elementary School where she developed and implemented activities for students ages 5-12 to foster creativity and collaboration, while simultaneously supervising and attending to the requests of over forty children. She encouraged and assisted children in communication and problem solving when conflicts arose.

At her hospital internship in the Post Op Unit Lauryn gained clinical experience by assisting the nurses, answering patient calls, and transporting patients within the hospital.

In her free time, Lauryn enjoys being outside, hiking, boating, or riding her bike. She also loves to garden and has a large indoor plant collection. Lauryn enjoys finding new local coffee shops and plant nurseries to spend her weekends at.  She loves spending time with her family and friends, attending sporting events, and being active.

Training: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), First Aid Certification, CPR Certification, Medical Imaging Laboratory Experience, Lauryn is a board member of the University of Minnesota’s Psychology Club, a member of the Psi Chi International Honors Society in Psychology, and in the Honors College at the University of Minnesota.

Work Days: Through August: Monday-Friday

Starting September 2021: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
