Leann Larson is a Registered Dietitian and an Integrative and Functional Nutrition Practitioner who has dedicated her career to helping people identify and resolve root causes of difficult symptoms and regain their joy in life.
Leann is a registered and licensed dietitian, an Integrative and Functional Nutrition Practitioner (IFNCP) and Certified LEAP Therapist (CLT). She received her B.S. degree in Dietetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She also has a diploma in Intermittent Fasting.
Leann has well rounded professional experience. Her comprehensive background includes: founder of her own previous owned private practice, Director of Nutrition Services and Clinical Dietician at Upland Hills Health, Director of Nutrition Services at the Minnesota Veteran’s home, Nutrition Therapy Coordinator at St. John’s Hospital, Diabetes Educator at HealthEast Diabetes Care, and Consultant Dietician at Mission Nursing Home.
Working in a variety of multi-disciplinary settings has given Leann perspective on the larger role that nutrition plays into whole body healing. She has vast knowledge in using specialized diets, supplements, and lifestyle modalities, which allow her to bring a personalized approach to supporting overall health and wellness. Leann places emphasis on encouraging evidence based, comprehensive plans that connect nourishment with healing.
Leann has also received extensive training and experience in food sensitivities and adverse food reactions. She is experienced in the MRT (Mediated Release Test) as a way to identify food and chemical triggers then customizes a LEAP (Lifestyle Eating and Performance) protocol can help patients reduce inflammation and recover their health.
Leann has advanced clinical training in managing a wide variety of diagnoses and conditions and she focuses on each patient’s unique differences and needs. These experiences and perspectives inform her healthcare methodology.
She is passionate about the extensions and connections of nutrition into whole body health, and the core of her focus is uncovering the root cause of issues. Her main interest is Nutrigenomics, and she extends that interest into her care through basing her nutritional recommendations on an individual’s genetic background and needs. Understanding how genetic variations affect the nutritional environment is key to how she crafts her integrative nutrition recommendations and dietary interventions.
Leann likes to spend her free time with her husband and children. She enjoys gardening, raising chickens, cooking, baking, biking, jogging, camping and fishing.
