Stephanie Downs is our Registered Nurse and IV Therapy Specialist, and also performs Frequency Specific Microcurrent therapy and Essential Oils consultations.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Metropolitan State University with a focus on public health. Her extensive experience encompasses over 15 years of working in a hospital and surgical setting, where she has gained valuable experience starting IV’s, initiating urinary catheters and managing fluid balance. She has multiple certifications, including in advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support and muscle testing. Currently, she is working on the practitioner level certification for frequency specific microcurrent. Stephanie is also a Certified Aromatherapist.
Her interest in natural healing modalities stems from a deep spiritual belief that we and our environment were initially created perfectly, and our choices and experiences shape who we are and how our bodies function. Listening to the patient and engaging their intuitive senses to what is going on in the body is how she works collaboratively with each patient to identify the underlying health issues. She helps her patients to recognize the personal accountability and responsibility involved in healing, and places great value in the patients philosophy of health and desire to heal.
Having a passion for functional and integrative medicine, she has spent countless hours on continuing education, and has gained essential understanding on healing the gut microbiome, herbals and nutritional support, and spiritual trauma counseling. She is especially interested in the gut microbiome, and the roles it can play in wellness and overall health. Exploring how it can connect the body’s healing pathways is of great importance to her.
In her free time, Stephanie homeschools her daughter, downhill skis, plays tennis, and enjoys traveling with her family to warmer weather climates.
